Free Camping for those who help out with the Spring chores!  Call for Reservations: 269.945.8722 Breakfast served starting at 9:00 - 10:15 AM.  $2.50/person. Mom's and Toddlers FREE Bring the whole family to Charlton Park Day. There will be free hot dogs, chips, drinks. Come on out and tour the buildings, maybe play some old fashioned games by the old school, meet some of the volunteers that will be in some of the buildings (rain date 5/20) Pool Opens! First Hey Ride of the Season! Sunday - Ice Cream Social Saturday Activities: 10 AM - Hula Lesson for all ages. Luau Potluck (Time TBD) followed by Hula Contest 8 PM - ALOHA Hey -Ride Lots of great music all Weekend! Play along or, dance, keep the beat or just listen and enjoy. 
Saturday Evening bonus - Concert on the Porch - bring a chair and your favorite evening beverage. Breakfast served starting at9:00 - 10:15 AM.  $2.50/person.   
Dad's and Toddlers FREE 8am - 5pm rain or shine. This event is sponsored by the Southern Michigan Street Rod Association County Wide Yard Sale and Michigan Fiddlers Jamboree June 23, 2012 from 9am - 3pm for the Sales. Details to follow. Area Fireworks - TBD - Ice Cream Social at 4PM, bring your bowl and spoon!
NOTE: NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED ON THE CAMPGROUND PROPERTY 30th Annual 4TH of July & Veterans Bar-B-Que is July 4, 2012 from 11:30am - 5pm. The Veterans Association Complete Pork & Chicken Bar-B-Que Buffet will run from 12:30pm - 4:30pm in the Walnut Grove. Cost for Bar-B-Que TBD. Games begin at 1:30pm on the village green. Everyone is encouraged to bring a home-made pie to be judged by our expert panel. There will also be a pie auction. Admission and participation in the event is FREE! 41st Annual Gas & Steam Engine Show Potluck and Salsa Contest on Saturday followed by Pinata Party for the kids See history come alive with hundreds of re-enactors depicting Confederate and Union Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery units. Shop on Sutler Row, play parlor games, see military demonstrations. Admission is Adults $5.00, Kids $3.00 ages 5 - 12 years, 4 and under are free. Another Favorite special event! Saturday - Potluck and Polka Dance Party!  OOMPA Great Lakes Longbow Invitational August 10 - 12, 2012 the GLLI is a full weekend of longbow shooting & browsing traditional archery vendors. There will be shooting events for all ages and skill levels. Admission is Adults $5.00, Kids 16 & under free. Visit the many events in Hastings for this fun Festival.  More Info to follow. Last Weekend for the Pool. Hey Rides on both Sat. & Sun - Sunday afternoon- Ice Cream Social Havoc in Hastings September 1, 2012 from 10:00am - 4:00pm. A medieval event, Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) will gather for a historical recreation. Challengers will strive to unseat the champions of the Kingdom and win the glory. Prizes are awarded at the end of the tournament. Admission is Adults $6.00, Kids $4.00 ages 12 and under. Contest for kids of all ages and Trick or Treat. Site Decoration encouraged!! Special HEY -- BOO! ride in the evening, followed by a Halloween Party for kids and parents! Join the fun!! After Trick or Treat, we will have the final Potluck of the year and our very popular Chili Cook-off!  Dust off your recipes! Walk in the Spirit Pow Wow September 15 & 16, 2012 from 10:00am - 8:30pm on Sept. 15 and from 10:00am - 5pm on Sept. 16. The public is invited to experience Native American culture through a traditional pow wow including authentic dancing and drumming, arts and crafts and native foods.
