Perfect for a quiet get away,

My wife and I go camping a lot in Indiana and in Ohio but the best one we have found is in Hastings MI. clean bathrooms,nice people,nice clean river,and a really cute town..its a perfect place for a quiet get away just the 2 of us. Thank you so much for being the place you are..that's what makes us keep coming back!

Best Camping Place on Earth,

My wife and I go camping a lot in Indiana and in Ohio, but the best one we have found is in Hastings MI. Clean bathrooms,nice people,nice clean river,and a really cute town..Its a perfect place for a quite get away just the 2 of us.Thank you so much for being the place you are. That's what makes us keep coming back.

Just can't say enough good things about our experience,

Our visit this year was our third, and probably not the last. Sharon likes to know what she will find when we camp. As you get older(I am 65) you tend to get finicky about the facilities at a campground. In your 20's you'll camp anywhere under any conditions. In your later years certain things become important, and Roger seems to know what they are: clean bathrooms,quiet campground, nice, friendly, and courteous staff,etc. Come stay here and you will see what I mean.

  • The Bathroom Facilities - Everything is always squeaky clean. Showers, sinks, stalls.
  • Campground - Sitting around the campfire we realized we didn't have anything to complain about, except maybe the "too bright" light by our camp site.
  • Staff - Always courteous, from the camp store, to the kayak trips, to the ice cream social, we felt like family.

The People Working There Were Very Friendly,

We really enjoyed our stay at Whispering Waters Campground while we were in the Hastings area. We had never been to the campground before, but will definitely stay there again!

The people working there were very friendly - and Roger is a wonderful source of travel information. The showers and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained, the sites were level, the campground was clean and quiet. Thank you!!

Quiet Setting, Clean Facilities,

We have been camping at Whispering Waters for almost a decade. We come back every year because we love the quiet setting, the clean facilities (the pool, the showers and the bathrooms are always clean and well cared for) and the access to canoeing and kayaking right next to the river.

But the best part is the friendly faces of Roger and Uta every time we walk into their convenient little store. They have always made us feel right at home!

We camped here via tent on a primitive campground. Everyone here was incredibly friendly. The whole staff treats you as they have known you for years.

The bathrooms are extremely clean with showers with plenty of hot water. I highly recommend the kayaking. They also offer tubing and canoing. Reasonably priced and fun.

I highly recommend this place for young and old, families, singles and couples.

Great Campground - Middle Michigan - from TripAdvisor.com,

The owners Roger and Uta Vilmont give a special touch to managing and day to day operations of the Whispering Waters Campground. We were first time visitor this past weekend - however they made us feel as if we were old friends coming back to camp.

This campground offers a small but heated and clean swimming pool, campstore with reasonably priced items, clean sites, and access to river tubing, canoing or kayaking.

Located in the middle of Michigan it's central from all points and a nice get away. There are plenty of seasonal sites - and what appears to be a good number of full time campers there - all with meticulously kept trailers and sites.

There is a Walmart and KMart just around the corner should you forget your kids bathing suite..as well as a dozen little lakes in the immediate area for day trips.

Try them out!

Whispering Waters Staff,

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at your campground. We, with several of our friends spent this weekend with you. We all had a very nice time. We camp a lot and your campground is very nice. It is up to date, clean, and very family oriented. Your staff is all very friendly. We will definetly be back again.
